Warranty Service

Dear Valued Customer,

Following are instructions for exchanging a defective product purchased on this website. These instructions apply to product purchased on this website only; product purchased through an authorized retailer or dealer should be returned to that retailer should an exchange be necessary.

The product warranty starts on the date that you purchased the product, so a copy of your purchase receipt with the purchase date must be provided with your defective product. Per the stated warranty terms that you received with your product, Directed may repair your defective product, or exchange it with a new or factory refurbished equivalent. Your product warranty is void if the product is damaged through negligence, misuse, or mishandling, or if any bar-coded labels are removed from the product. Directed will return your original defective product to you at your expense if it is not covered by the terms of the warranty.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR RETURNING DEFECTIVE PRODUCT FOR EXCHANGE:

Print and complete the Warranty Return Form with product information, your name, the address that returned product should be shipped to, telephone number, and purchase information. Attach your purchase receipt and $15 cashiers check or money order payable to “Directed Electronics” to the form, and enclose both in the box with your defective product. Return all parts that came with the product, whether they are defective or not. Send the defective product, receipt, cashiers check, and form to:

We recommend that you ship the product using UPS Ground or some other carrier that can provide tracking information. Directed is not responsible for undelivered product. Please allow 3-4 weeks for processing and shipping. Directed will return your exchange product using UPS Ground service.
